The Ring of Glory Delve Guide

Trash, the Drakta boss fight, all three story variants, and Sturdy Chest locations in this combat-focused arena delve.

The Ring of Glory is the second regular Delve added on the Coiled Isle in Patch 12.1 β€” a small, combat-focused arena where undead Trolls do battle, built inside a tower with overlap to some Zul'Aman-flavored enemies. It has three rotating story variants layered on top of a shared trash pool, floor traps, and a boss fight against Drakta. This guide covers the trash, the boss, all three variants, and the delve's three Sturdy Chests.

πŸ•― Entrance & Delve Mechanic

The Ring of Glory is located in the east of the Coiled Isle.

Delve Mechanic β€” Floor Traps

Several traps are scattered throughout the delve in multiple varieties. All are ground-based and deal significant damage if triggered β€” watch your footing, especially during add phases when attention is split.

βš” Trash Mobs

The Ring of Glory is populated by undead Troll mobs. They aren't especially hard, and some overlap with enemies seen in Zul'Aman delves.

  • Arisen Warsinger β€” ghostly Trolls whose key ability, Summon War Drum, spawns an attackable War Drum that buffs nearby enemies with 20% increased haste. The War Drum does not despawn when its Warsinger dies, so kill the drum too if it's still up.
  • Restless Spiritcaller β€” ghostly casters with two abilities: Soul Impale, which summons a row of circles dealing heavy damage if you stand in them, and Soul Siphon, a channeled heavy-damage self-heal that should be interrupted.

πŸ’€ Boss β€” Drakta

Drakta's kit is simple on paper but punishes mistakes hard.

  • Soul Cleave β€” a large circle around himself dealing heavy damage and leaving behind a Voidzone.
  • Death Grip β€” pulls in his furthest-away target.
  • Roar of the Champion β€” reduces his own movement speed but increases his damage by 80%.

πŸ“œ Story Variants

Open Night

Clear the arena floor of enemies β€” on higher difficulties, some may be replaced with Nemesis mobs, so stay alert. Once cleared, Crashfoot (a large rhino) spawns: he uses Savage Gore (a bleed on his main target) and Stampeding Charge (heavy damage unless you break line of sight behind a wall). After Crashfoot, three murlocs spawn β€” focus and interrupt the two smaller casters first. Once all three are down, the sea giant Brinebeater spawns with three abilities: Tidal Smash (a large circle around him), Tidal Rage (a 60% damage increase that can and should be interrupted), and Break Water (a circle around all players that damages and knocks players airborne if they stay in it). Next comes Guth'kar the Bound, a voidwalker who's manageable as long as Curse of Dread stays interrupted (a companion set to interrupt, like Valeera on DPS, can also lock down his Void Bolts). Finally, three ghostly Trolls spawn β€” focus and interrupt Hexspitter Zit'ka β€” before the boss unlocks.

Game Day

Kick skulls into nearby pillars to score goals. Skulls are found scattered around the delve or dropped by trash mobs. Clicking a skull moves it roughly 25 yards in front of you β€” aim at a pillar and click to score. Pillars are guarded by floating masks: hitting a mask instead of the pillar bounces the skull off and doesn't count. Each goal scored increases the number of masks guarding that pillar. Score all 8 goals to unlock the boss.

Adopt-a-thon

Defeat enemies to fill a progress bar while rescuing frightened animals, which flee from you β€” push them into corners to catch them, since clicking them before they run is difficult. Rescue 8 animals and fill the bar to 100% to face the boss, Gnok, a two-phase fight. Phase 1: Upheaval targets his furthest player with a large circle that leaves a puddle at the end of the cast, plus Pulverize for moderate damage to his main target. At 0 health he resurrects at full health into Phase 2, using Necrotic Upheaval (a sidesteppable frontal cone that leaves Voidzones) and Ejecting Decay (small circles around Gnok plus one large circle hitting all players, dealing heavy damage and knocking players airborne β€” sidestep it).

πŸ“¦ Sturdy Chest Locations

Three Sturdy Chests are hidden in The Ring of Glory. No specific story variant is needed to find them, but this is a small, tightly-packed delve and the chests can be tricky to spot.
