Raid Bonus Roll Eligibility Guide
How the September 1 loot-lockout rule affects repeated raid clears and bonus-roll planning.
What Changes on September 1
Beginning with scheduled weekly maintenance on September 1, a raid encounter offers a Bonus Roll only while your character is eligible for normal loot from that encounter on that difficulty. Once that difficulty’s weekly loot lockout has been consumed, another kill of the same boss during the same week will not offer a Bonus Roll.
How the Lockout Works
- Eligibility is checked per encounter and per difficulty.
- Your first loot-eligible kill of a boss on a difficulty can offer a Bonus Roll.
- A second or later kill after you are locked to that boss on that difficulty cannot offer another Bonus Roll.
- The announcement changes whether the roll is offered; it does not promise a particular item from the roll.
Plan Your Rolls
Choose the difficulty first
Decide which version of the boss has the loot pool and item level you actually want before using your weekly loot-eligible kill.Bring the roll to the eligible kill
Have the Bonus Roll available when you defeat that boss for normal loot on the chosen difficulty. Do not assume a later reclear will provide the same opportunity.Track each difficulty separately
A lockout on one difficulty does not describe your status on another. Check your raid lockouts before joining a different-difficulty run.Treat reclears as progression or social runs
After your eligible kill, return for practice, achievements, or to help the group—not to generate another roll chance on that difficulty.
