The Unbinding of Kith'ix Raid Guide
Patch 12.1.5 Kith'ix strategy, Heroic and Mythic differences, role assignments, entrance and loot, plus Story Mode access and campaign rewards.
Quick raid plan
Repeat add control and the darkness intermission until 25% health. Then use Bloodlust with Luminous Grace and finish before the eighth Eclipse. Story Mode, Raid Finder, Normal, Heroic, and flexible Mythic are available; Mythic supports 15–25 players.
Before the pull
- Assign the Hulk tank, beetle control, fear dispels, and healing cooldowns. Tanks exchange jobs after each Dark Devastation.
- Keep aqir at least 25 yards from Kith'ix; Commanding Presence reduces their damage taken. Plan fragment-soaking lanes for Heroic and Mythic.
Phase 1: control the swarm
Kill the Voidweaver first
Bring the Venomous Hulk to the immobile Voidweaver for cleave, keeping both away from Kith'ix. Face Venom Roar away from players. Nightfall becomes more dangerous while the caster lives.Stagger beetles and destroy eggs
Control Bomber Beetles and detonate them one at a time, letting Digestive Juices expire between explosions. On Heroic and Mythic, destroy Incubation eggs before they hatch; Mythic beetles leave eggs too.Prepare for Extinguish
Collect a Light's Embrace mote before each Extinguish. Have an immunity or assigned defensive ready if you miss one. Move out when marked by Unspeakable Horrors, then receive a staggered fear dispel.Swap tanks and finish adds
Move Dark Devastation away from the raid and swap after each cast. On Heroic and Mythic, place its Voidscar deliberately for later fragment paths. Clear the adds before Kith'ix reaches 100 energy and empowers survivors.
Intermission: protect Liadrin
- Stay within Refulgent Bulwark. Tank swaps, Extinguish preparation, and fear positioning continue inside the smaller safe area.
- Healers: clear Abyssal Grasp absorbs within eight seconds, before affected players are dragged into darkness.
- On Heroic and Mythic, intercept Eclipse Fragments before they reach Liadrin and shrink the barrier. Rotate assigned soakers and avoid splashing nearby players.
- Liadrin ends the intermission at full energy. Reset positions promptly; Exhausted makes subsequent cycles harder.
Phase 2: race the eclipse
- At 25%, Last Light heals the raid and Luminous Grace empowers damage and healing. Use Bloodlust, offensive cooldowns, and potions.
- Place Null Gates away from the group, dodge Nullshards, and keep gates reachable for tanks.
- Swap immediately on Negation. The affected tank enters a Null Gate before the debuff expires; coordinate the resulting damage with healers.
- Kill Kith'ix before the eighth Eclipse. Continue dodging while using raid defenses for the pulses.
Entrance and raid loot
Entrance: northeastern Underbelly within the Vaults of Atal'Utek. Waypoint: /way #2613 74.0 7.4. Raid drops start at item level 285 in Raid Finder, 298 on Normal, 311 on Heroic, and 324 on Mythic. No tier tokens drop.
Story Mode and campaign rewards
Story Mode is available for players finishing the campaign that begins with The Aqir Swarm. Speak with the Memory of Ancient Darkness near the raid entrance in the back half of the Underbelly in the Vaults of Atal'Utek. The Unbinding of Kith'ix quest awards a choice between the Bloodmark Signet and Pendant of Venomous Vigil at Hero 1/6, plus the Hiveborne Hearthstone toy.
