Patch 12.1 Housing at a Glance

Curse of Ula'tek adds Blueprints for saving and sharing builds, Pet Beds for companion displays, house level 12, more Artisanal Rooms, a streamlined dye system, new decor categories, and more than two hundred decor pieces tied to old and new content.

Blueprints: Save, Share, and Reset

   Open Blueprint options

   Enter the House Editor and use the Blueprint controls at the top of the screen. You can save one room, the interior, the exterior, or the entire house.

   Save the layout

   Saved Blueprints appear in the House Chest and in the Blueprints tab of the House Dashboard. The system supports 50 saved layouts plus 10 automatic recovery slots created when a Blueprint is imported.

   Share or import a code

   Use Share in Chat or Copy to Clipboard to distribute a code. Blueprint codes can be inspected in chat and shared across regions outside China.

   Review requirements

   Before importing, inspect the required rooms, decor, budget, owned items, and missing items. The import preview tries to preserve the intended dye colors without replacing decor you already dyed.

   Start over safely

   The Reset option returns decor to storage for the whole house, interior, or exterior. Export permission defaults to no one, so change it only when you want visitors to copy your layout.

Pet Beds

Perry Winkles in Founder's Point and Agratha in Razorwind Shores sell Pet Beds from houses near each neighborhood's quest hub. Each Pet Bed costs 50 Gold. Place one through the House Editor, then assign an eligible noncombat companion in Customize mode.

• Indoor limit: 100 Pet Beds. Indoor pets can be Stationary or Roaming.
• Outdoor limit: 25 Pet Beds. Outdoor pets are Stationary for now.
• A small number of companions cannot be assigned, but most noncombat pets are eligible.

House Level 12 and Artisanal Rooms

House level 12 raises placement limits and unlocks large exteriors. The house entry can now be placed on any floor, opening basement and multi-story layouts that were previously awkward or impossible.

• General Contractors sell four new Artisanal Room plans for each of the orc, human, night elf, and blood elf themes in exchange for Community Coupons.
• Neighborhood smugglers sell cross-faction styles for decorators who want to mix architectural themes.
• Buying a room plan is not enough by itself; use the purchased item so the room appears in your building options.

Dyes and Decor Categories

Old dye pigments and housing dye items convert through in-game mail when entering Curse of Ula'tek. Dyeable decor now exposes all supported colors without requiring a separate item for every shade, while Alchemists and Scribes can turn herbs directly into dyes at neighborhood dye stations.

• Housing dye pigments are retired as an intermediate crafting material.
• Darker appearances from before the 12.0.5 update return to the available color choices.
• New catalog categories group Vines and Hanging Plants and Pet Beds for easier browsing.

Where the New Decor Comes From

• Coiled Isle quests, treasures, achievements, and campaign rewards, with duplicate copies available from relevant vendors after unlocks.
• Profession recipes obtained from sources such as Thalassian Recipe in a Bottle, Zul'jarra's Forces, Captain Tokka's crew, and Prey vendors.
• Neighborhood pet, construction, seasonal, and Endeavor vendors, including rank-gated inventory tied to completed Endeavors.
• Delves, the Delver's Journey, current and legacy Mythic+ bosses, Nymrissa Wavecaller, and bosses in the Venomous Abyss.
• Prey Season Journey unlocks, Ral'kala, Arcantina activities, and other Patch 12.1 systems. Some catalog entries still have unconfirmed sources and should not be guessed.

Practical Checklist

1. Save a Blueprint before changing a finished room or importing another player's design.
2. Review missing decor, room requirements, and budget in the import preview.
3. Buy Pet Beds from Perry Winkles or Agratha, then assign pets in Customize mode.
4. Use purchased Artisanal Room plan items before checking the room list.
5. Revisit neighborhood and progression vendors after achievements or Endeavor ranks unlock new inventory.
